Nurse Aide Training Program

Students practice skills in a simulated lab environment.
Clinical rotations are completed in a long-term care facility with guidance from experienced RN instructors.
The program includes 75 hours of training; including 16 hours at a clinical site (per Ohio Department of Health).
Grading & State Exam Eligibility
Must earn ≥ 75% on all tests to pass the knowledge portion.
Must achieve satisfactory skill demonstration in classroom and clinical.
No extra credit, no grade rounding.
Passing the course makes you eligible for the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Exam (STNA exam).
After passing the state exam, your name will be added to the Ohio Nurse Aide Registry (CNAs).

To enroll, students must:
Be at least 16 years old.
Complete an FBI and BCI background check (Code: 4723 09 | Reason: “entering nursing”).
Provide proof of a negative TB screening (2-step PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Chest X-ray if required) prior to the start of class for clinicals.
Present a Social Security card and valid government-issued photo ID (Driver License, Permit, State ID, Passport, CCW etc.) on the first day of class and during state testing.
Wear provided scrubs during clinical rotations.
Maintain strict attendance (per Ohio Department of Health rules). Missing class, lab(s) and/or clinicals will result in incomplete training. You can reschedule one day only at this time with prior approval with a make up fee.
Have a laptop or tablet to access online learning materials.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
No impairments with bending, stooping, lifting overhead, or carrying.
No casts, crutches, canes, leg braces, walkers, or scooters allowed in the lab or clinic.

Payment plan available with a $150 non-refundable retainer deposit, which will be applied toward the total program cost.

Job Outlook: Employment for CNAs and PCAs is expected to grow steadily due to Ohio’s aging population. Over 7,000 nursing aides are projected to be needed each year through 2028.

Hourly Base Rate: $19.00 - $19.75
